Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
4 bananas, mushed
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease 2, 9x5 inch loaf pans.
3. Mix all ingredients together and pour into pans.
4. Bake for about 35 minutes.
This was my grandmother's recipe and I absolutely love it. Danny does too. When I come home from the store with a bunch of bananas, he knows what's coming and gets very excited. I love to make a couple of batches and take some up to work, and Danny and I love to just have it for breakfast with coffee. Or for an afternoon snack, or an after dinner snack, or pretty much any time. LOVE it!
No pictures, sorry. I took a picture of it once, but it really didn't do the recipe justice. You will just have to try me on this one and go make it, NOW! Or after your bananas sit for a few days.
